Diagnose and repair electrical faults, mechanical issues, and connectivity or software problems using diagnostic tools and technical documentation.
Assemble and prepare new e-bikes for deployment, including final quality checks and test rides.
Replace and fit parts (tyres, tubes, brake pads, cables, batteries) and manage stock of common spare parts and consumables.
Log work completed and fault findings accurately in the maintenance system, including recommendations for recurring issues and preventive actions.
Collaborate with operations and customer support to prioritise repairs and respond to urgent service requests across Amsterdam.
Advise colleagues and customers on basic e-bike care, safe operation, and battery handling/storage best practices.
Maintain a clean, safe workshop environment and follow health & safety procedures at all times.
Your Qualifications
Proven experience as a bicycle mechanic, ideally with specific experience repairing e-bikes or light electric vehicles.
Good understanding of electric drivetrain components, battery systems, wiring, and basic electronics; able to read wiring diagrams and use multimeters.
Competence with standard mechanical tools and workshop equipment, and experience with wheel truing, brake adjustment, and gear indexing.
Fluent in Dutch and comfortable working in English; clear, customer-focused communication is important.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team across a busy urban operation.
Right to work in the Netherlands and willingness to work occasional early starts or weekends as required by operations.
Relevant vocational qualifications (e.g., cycle mechanic certificate, electrical or mechanical apprenticeship) are desirable but practical experience will be considered.
