Portuguese-speaking Live Interpreter TPPT - WFH
Workster is partnering with a leading global customer experience provider to recruit Portuguese-speaking Live Interpreters (TPPT) for a fully remote, work-from-home role based in Portugal. In this role you will deliver high-quality, real-time interpretation between European Portuguese and English (and other target languages where required) across sectors such as healthcare, legal, social services and customer support. You will enable clear communication in sensitive and time-critical situations, ensuring accuracy, cultural appropriateness and confidentiality.
Your Role

Provide consecutive and/or simultaneous interpretation in real time between Portuguese and English (and other languages when requested)

Facilitate conversations in contexts including medical consultations, legal appointments, insurance calls and public services

Ensure faithful, neutral and complete rendition of spoken messages, preserving tone, register and intent

Manage interpretation sessions via telephone and video platforms, following established protocols and time limits

Maintain strict confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times

Accurately document session details and complete required session logs in internal systems

Work to meet productivity and quality KPIs, including response times and client satisfaction metrics

Contribute feedback on processes, glossaries and cultural notes to support continuous improvement
Your Qualifications

Native or near-native proficiency in European Portuguese and fluent English (C1/C2); other language combinations an advantage

Proven experience as an interpreter or in related roles (healthcare, legal, social services or customer support) is preferred

Strong active listening, memory and note‑taking skills for accurate rendition

Ability to remain neutral, professional and composed in emotionally charged or sensitive situations

High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Comfortable using digital platforms, video conferencing tools and simple CRM or session-management systems

Reliable home workspace with stable high-speed internet connection and willingness to use company‑provided equipment where required

Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and occasional public holidays
The Offer

Full-time remote position (work from home) with contracts compliant with Portuguese labour regulations

Flexible schedule covering Monday to Sunday shifts; typical shift length 8 hours/day with rotation

Paid remote training and structured onboarding (approx. 2–4 weeks) including sector-specific guidance and tool training
