Portuguese Banking Client Advisor in Lisbon
Workster is partnering with a respected international bank to recruit a Portuguese Banking Client Advisor for a full-time position based in Lisbon.
In this role, you will provide high-quality, customer-focused advice and support to retail and small business clients over phone, email and in person. You will manage client enquiries, identify financial needs, promote appropriate products and services, and ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements. You will work within a collaborative branch and contact-centre environment, contributing to a positive client experience and helping to grow long-term relationships.
Your Role
Respond to client enquiries via phone, email and face-to-face meetings, delivering clear, professional and timely service
Assess client needs and recommend suitable banking products and services including accounts, loans, savings and payment solutions
Process account openings, maintenance requests and routine transactions in line with internal procedures and compliance requirements
Identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell appropriate products while prioritising the client’s best interests
Maintain accurate client records and update systems with interaction details, follow-ups and outcomes
Escalate complex cases to specialised teams and collaborate with colleagues to resolve client issues efficiently
Contribute to branch targets and performance metrics, supporting a customer-centric culture
Participate in training, knowledge-sharing sessions and quality assurance activities to maintain high standards
Your Qualifications
Native Portuguese (C2) for internal communication and reporting
Previous experience in retail banking, financial services, customer service or sales is advantageous
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional, client-focused attitude
Good numerical literacy and attention to detail to handle transactions and adhere to compliance processes
Ability to build rapport quickly and manage multiple client interactions in a busy environment
Comfortable working with CRM systems and standard office tools; quick to learn new platforms
Problem-solving mindset, resilience and ability to remain calm under pressure
Eligibility to work in Portugal and willingness to work occasional early shifts or Saturdays if required by the branch
